Newest first. Three numbers, and which of them moves says what happened to you rather than how much work it was.

The first moves when something that worked stops working: a query that used to answer and now does not, a saved list that will not load, a link you shared that no longer opens what it opened. It has never moved, and that is the whole of what it is for.

The second moves when the page answers something it could not answer before, or answers it better than it did. New grammar is the usual reason. A correction is the other, and a correction is not a break even though the answer changes underneath somebody: "days be christmas" used to say 154 days and now says nothing, because it was reading Belgium out of the word "be", and taking that away left the page more right rather than less useful. An answer that gains a drawing of what it just said counts here too.

The third moves when nothing you type comes back any different.

Numbers get skipped when it takes more than one commit to introduce a release, so only the release from the last commit goes out.

The bill may be said before the verb, which is the order it comes in when the bill is the thing being talked about, and it was the shape the splitter could not read.
A split with a currency on it comes back in that currency, the money reader having learned the one word the splitter puts after a number.

The verb in the middle was being read as the second word of the currency's name, which blames the reader for a word that carries nothing.

The whole line only, or "last working day of may 2026" would lose the month it is about: that is a different question and it already had an answer.

This is how a time is spoken by most of the people who speak one, and the clock reader had only ever read digits.
Turned into digits once, before anything reads the line, so the conversion, the span and the sun all get it rather than each growing a spoken twin.
Only the phrases that cannot mean anything else. "3 to 5" stays a range of two numbers, which is what it is in every other grammar on this page.

Not the x of a hex prefix, which is a nought with an x behind it, and not the x of an equation, which has no digit in front of it: "0xff + 0x01" and "2x + 3 = 7" both go on meaning what they meant.

The age question asked backwards, which is how it arrives when somebody is filling in a form from a number they were told.
Two years, and saying so is the whole of the answer: one of them would be wrong for half the year without ever looking wrong.

"when will i turn 40" answered and the same day named as a birthday did not, though that is what it gets called. The ordinal was read as a day of this month, which produced an error about a number nobody typed.
Nearly always asked as a countdown, and in whatever unit the question used: nobody wants the date of the fortieth so much as how long there is until it.

Turning a decimal into a fraction has answered since the notations went in, which is the harder half of the same job, and a fraction already written down could not be reduced.
The answer says what it divided by, which is the part anybody doing it by hand wants to check. A bare "6/8" is still a division and still answers 0.75.

This is what the sun times get looked up for in the first place: whether to take a torch, whether the light has gone, whether it is worth ringing somebody.
Two lookups this file already does, never put together. The answer says which it is whichever way round the question was put, so a no is never only a refusal.

The converter has held speeds since the units went in and could only ever be given one. Somebody with a distance and a time had to divide them in their head first, in units that agree, which is exactly the arithmetic they came here for.
Both halves go through the tables, so every length and every time this file knows can be either one, and the answer is written in what the question was asked in: a distance in miles comes back in miles an hour.

The solstices and the equinoxes are the four boundaries, so this is the same arithmetic asked from inside the year rather than about a date in it.
The astronomical reckoning, and the answer says so: a meteorological summer starts on the 1st of June and is a convention of the forecasters rather than a fact about the sun.
The names are the reader's own hemisphere's, as the solstice names are.

The one name nobody has to be told about, and the second half of nearly every session: a price, then the price with the tax on it; a distance, then the distance in miles.
It holds the text of the answer rather than its value, so the currency comes with it and "ans - 9%" is a discount on the money rather than on a bare number.
Only where the headline is a number. "Friday" is an answer and it is not one you can multiply by three, so the name goes on holding the last one that was.

The sums have been here since the first week and the currencies since the rates went in, and the two had never met: a line with a currency in it was a conversion or it was nothing, so multiplying a price by five came back silent.
The currency comes off, the sum is handed to the arithmetic exactly as it would have been without it, and the answer is written back in the currency it was asked in. Every rule the maths already has applies to money for nothing.
One currency only. "5 usd + 3 eur" is a sum with a rate hidden inside it, and quietly picking one would bury today's date in an answer that does not look like it has one.

"mod" is the remainder and has been answerable since the sums went in. The whole part of the same division had no spelling at all, and the backslash a calculator writes it with was being read as a date, which is worse than a silence.
The semicolon is how the other half of the world separates arguments, the comma being their decimal point.

The question can sit at the far end, which is how it is written by somebody who starts from the quantity they have rather than from the unit they want.
A length is tall, long, wide, deep or far and a mass is heavy. None of those words carry any part of the answer, and every one of them silenced the line.

The areas here have been the lengths squared since the units went in, and the volumes were not the lengths cubed. Now they are: every length gets a cubic twin for four lines, and a cubic foot cannot drift from the foot it is made of.
Three spellings, because a keyboard makes the digit easy: "cubic metre", "m3" and "m^3" are one unit. The digit has to be welded to the unit, or "in 3 weeks" would be a cubic inch.

A silence reads as "never heard of it", which is the one thing it does not mean. The United States is a place this file knows perfectly well and cannot answer for, because the answer depends on which side of it you mean.
The two ends get named rather than a favourite three, because which cities are worth naming should not be a matter of taste, and the extremes say how wide the country is.

The zone table is a table of cities and a country is not one, so "time in japan" was not a question here at all while "time in tokyo" was.
Only where the country keeps one clock. The United States keeps six and Australia five, and answering one of them for the country would be wrong five times in six with nothing on the page to say so, so those stay quiet.
Two letters are a word before they are a country: "gb" is a gigabyte, "it" and "at" and "no" are English. The spelled-out names have no second reading and need no such guard.

The end and the start now take which period as well as which end: this month, next month, last month, next week. The words in the middle were filler to nobody.
A week runs Monday to Sunday here, the way it is numbered everywhere else in this file.

Every part of this has been on the page since the periods went in: the day of the year on the detail line of "what is the date", the week number on nearly every answer. What could not be asked was the question that puts them together as a fraction.
It is asked in December about a year and on a Wednesday about a week, and it is the same arithmetic both times: where today falls between two boundaries.

A thousandth day and a six-month-old are the same subtraction this reader already does, quoted in a different unit, and there was no way to name one.
Months are counted the way a calendar counts them, a month not being a fixed number of days, and the days left over are said rather than dropped.

That is how it gets typed by whoever is holding the slip, and it names no rate. There is no right rate to assume and this does not pretend there is: it answers at fifteen, eighteen and twenty per cent, with the totals underneath.
Three numbers on a line is the whole reason to ask a calculator rather than to divide by five in your head. Say a rate and it goes back to answering one.
